Part-time Payroll Administrator

Axon Moore are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly valued client in Golborne as they recruit for an experienced Payroll specialist on a part-time basis.

This is a flexible and accommodating role which can be completed over 3 days per week in the office.

This role will be well suited to experienced payroll administrators who are seeking to achieve a more favourable work/life balance.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Full process of the payroll function on a weekly/monthly basis

Resolving internal/external queries

Reconciling payroll entries

Ensure compliance with statutory benchmarks

Processing new starters and staff departures

Administration of company benefits, overtime, commissions, etc.

Maintenance of accurate employee records

Reporting of pension data to scheme advisors

Provide ad hoc support and assistance to the finance department

Required Skills and Experience:

At least 2 years’ payroll experience

Able to efficiently manage and organise their workload

Microsoft Excel and Sage proficient

Professionalism and confidentiality

Keeping up to date with payroll practices and legislation

A good understanding of PAYE, NI, RTI SMP, SSP and other HMRC statutory regulations

Exceptional attention to detail

Proactive and self-motivated in nature

Able to work efficiently towards deadlines
