Senior Mechanical Engineer - Water Sector

In this role you will lead the mechanical design work for major water and wastewater projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable, efficient infrastructure. You’ll own design packages from feasibility through construction support, mentor junior engineers, and help drive technical excellence across the Water team. • Deliver mechanical design activities from feasibility and concept through to detailed design and construction support
• Produce and review mechanical calculations, technical specifications, schedules, reports and engineering documentation
• Lead the design of pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment works, pipelines and related mechanical infrastructure
• Conduct site visits, surveys and investigations as required
• Collaborate with electrical, process, civil and structural engineers for integrated solutions
• Engage with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders while mentoring developing engineers

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng/IEng) or actively pursuing
• Experience delivering mechanical design in water or regulated infrastructure
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and industry standards
• Experience delivering technical design packages across multidisciplinary projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities
