Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to help support the accounts and tax affairs of a key client portfolio.

Client Details

Our client is a well known accountancy practice based nearby to Chatham. They have gone from strength to strength and are looking to bolster their accounts department.

Description

Prepare and review statutory accounts and management accounts for clients.

Oversee bookkeeping and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.

Provide expert advice on tax compliance and planning.

Support clients with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Manage VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Collaborate with clients to resolve financial queries and concerns.

Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.

Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on technical accounting matters.Profile

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).

Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.

Experience in preparing financial statements and managing accounts.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.

The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.Job Offer
