Practice Accountant

Are you an experienced Practice Accountant looking for a varied role with a growing and well-established accountancy practice?

We're recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Senior to join a friendly and professional team near Stroud. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of clients, prepare accounts and tax returns, provide business advice, and support the development of junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business clients

Preparing year-end accounts and tax returns

Completing tax computations and liaising with HMRC

Supporting VAT and compliance work

Building strong client relationships and providing advisory support

Mentoring and reviewing work completed by junior team members

Working with cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks

About You

Previous experience within an accountancy practice

Strong accounts and tax knowledge

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

AAT, ACCA, ACA, ATT, CTA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience

Experience with Digita, Xero or QuickBooks would be advantageous
