Your day at NTT DATA

The PostgreSQL engineer, specialist or architect supports enterprise PostgreSQL database services across on-premises, cloud and managed database environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor database availability, performance, replication and capacity.
• Resolve incidents and fulfil database service requests.
• Install, configure, patch and upgrade PostgreSQL environments.
• Perform backup, restoration and point-in-time recovery.
• Configure and maintain replication and high-availability capabilities.
• Analyse query performance and optimise database configurations.
• Manage database access, roles, encryption and auditing.
• Support migrations from other database technologies.
• Automate operational health checks, maintenance and reporting.
• Support resilience and disaster-recovery testing.
• At L4, provide expert support for complex database failures or performance issues.
• At L5, define PostgreSQL architecture, operating standards and modernization roadmaps.
