HR Business Partner 12m FTC

Artis HR are supporting an organisation with the appointment of an experienced HR Business Partner on a 12-month maternity cover.

This is an opportunity to join a busy, operationally focused business where you'll play a key role in supporting managers, shaping people decisions and ensuring HR practices work effectively across a large-scale operation.

The opportunity

You'll act as a trusted partner to operational leaders, helping them navigate people challenges, implement HR policies and make informed decisions. From supporting complex employee relations matters to contributing to talent, development and reward initiatives, the role offers a broad HR remit with plenty of stakeholder interaction.

You'll be joining an established HR function, working alongside HR colleagues and specialist teams while taking ownership of your own relationships and priorities.

What you'll bring

Solid experience as an HR Business Partner, with the ability to operate confidently and independently.

A background supporting large-scale, multi-site private sector operations.

The confidence to influence senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and handle difficult conversations.

Strong generalist HR knowledge, including complex employee relations.

A CIPD qualification.

A flexible mindset, strong judgement and the ability to navigate change.

Experience in facilities management, outsourced services or another complex, contract-led environment would be an advantage, although candidates from other relevant operational sectors will be considered.

The details

The position is based in Birmingham, with around three days per week spent in the office or on site. The role also involves travel to Manchester, Lincoln and occasionally London. Candidates must be able to attend Manchester on at least one Tuesday or Wednesday each week.

The package includes:

£50,000-£65,000 basic salary

Car allowance

Pension and additional employee benefits

25 days' annual leave, plus birthday leave

Option to purchase up to five additional days' leave

This is a 12-month maternity cover, with a preferred start date before the end of December to allow for a handover.
