Payroll Coordinator

Portfolio Payroll is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join a stable and growing organisation that truly values its people.

Reporting to the Personnel Manager you will take responsibility for the day-to-day processing of the company payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer payroll for existing employees, new starters and leavers
• Maintain accurate and efficient payroll records
• Calculate overtime, sickness and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP etc.)
• Manage RTI submissions and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment legislation
• Ensure payroll deadlines are consistently met and thoroughly checked
• Liaise with the People Team and Finance to ensure smooth payroll operations
• Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries
• Produce routine and ad-hoc payroll reporting
• Support with additional duties as required

About You

• Proven payroll experience
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation
• Ability to work accurately to strict deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
