Accounts Assistant

A client of ours in the Dunmow, Essex area is recruiting a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join their team.

This is a temporary-to-permanent position offering £14–£15 per hour, depending on experience. The role is available for two full days on Tuesday and Wednesday 9am-5pm (or equivalent part-time hours across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential due to the location.

Your

key duties in this Part-Time Accounts Assistant role will include, but are not limited to

Processing purchase ledger invoices and raising self-billing invoices.

Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounts functions.

Reconciliation.

Updating and reconciling Excel spreadsheets.

Assisting with general accounts administration and financial reporting.

Responding to emails and telephone enquiries professionally.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role

Previous experience in an accounting role, with a good understanding of accounting processes, reconciliations and deadlines.

Essential experience using Sage 50 Accounts.

Competent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.

Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
