Job Role: Part-Time Accounts Assistant

Salary: £13.20–£13.50 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week

Qualification: AAT Level 2 or above (essential)

Based: Birmingham

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accounts who is looking for a part-time role within a supportive working environment.

The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting and financial administration, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Assisting with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks.

Processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.

Reconciling accounts and checking financial information for accuracy.

Using Microsoft Excel to maintain spreadsheets and financial data.

Supporting the wider team with general finance and administrative duties.

Skills and

Requirements

AAT Level 2 qualification or higher is essential.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.

Good organisational and time-management skills.

The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

A reliable, professional and proactive approach to work.

Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
