Location: Lymedale, Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: Up to £51,440 (including shift allowance) + Overtime

Shifts: 12-hour days & nights (including weekends) 

Motiontech is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to support one of the UK’s most advanced automated logistics facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated material handling systems

Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, minimising downtime

Conduct fault finding on electrical, mechanical and PLC-controlled equipment

Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics and automated handling systems

Use CMMS to record maintenance activity and track performance data

This is a hands-on engineering role in a technically advanced automation environment. What We’re Looking For We are seeking a proactive, adaptable Maintenance Engineer with strong diagnostic capability and experience in automated or fast-paced production/logistics environments.

Essential Skills & Experience:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in logistics, automation, FMCG, manufacturing or similar

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Experience working with:

Conveyors and automated material handling systems

Motors, drives, gearboxes and pneumatics

PLC-controlled equipment (fault finding level)

Experience using CMMS systems

Flexible to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)

Strong commitment to safe working practices
