The Role

Are you passionate about guiding artistic visions and shaping visual experiences? As the Art Lead for our Live Service Team at Next Games, you will champion visual excellence across our expanding game portfolio. In this role, you will protect and define quality standards, mentor creative partners, and safeguard iconic brand identities to ensure our games continue to captivate millions of players worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve comprehensive style guides across all titles under the Live Service Team portfolio to establish and maintain a high visual quality bar.
  • Review outsourced assets and game releases to identify specification deviations and maintain style guide compliance before shipping.
  • Monitor visual consistency across the entire portfolio, safeguarding broader studio brand and franchise identities as titles evolve over time.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external outsourcing and co-development partners on visual execution across all live titles.
  • Provide external teams with clear, structured, and actionable feedback grounded in style guides and technical specifications.
  • Track vendor visual performance over time to identify trends and inform studio vendor evaluation processes.
  • Maintain positive vendor relationships while upholding the visual quality bar for all deliverables.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

  • Broad-based understanding and practical proficiency in concept art, 3D art, and visual QA processes.
  • Working knowledge of technical asset specifications (poly counts, texture compression, rigging constraints) and their impact on visual quality.
  • Working fluency in asset review and project management workflows to deliver clear, directly actionable critique under deadlines.
  • Effective written communication skills with an ability to deliver constructive feedback to internal and external partners.
  • Strong collaborative mindset with an ability to advise teams effectively and **escalate** critical decisions when appropriate.
  • Proven track record of maintaining visual quality standards across live-service titles or a portfolio of games over time.
  • Demonstrated success managing and guiding external art outsourcing vendors directly.
  • Experience building and sustaining vendor relationships while consistently upholding product quality standards.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with licensed IP properties where maintaining high fidelity to a source franchise is required.

We aim high here at Next Games and will ask you to do the same. In exchange, you'll be part of a team that is great to work with, who is dedicated and passionate about what we do.

Our guiding light in growing our team is that we don't look for a culture fit - we look for what each person brings to our collective skillset, culture and values to make them richer.

Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.

At Netflix, we want to entertain the world. Whatever your taste, and no matter where you live, we give you access to best-in-class TV series, documentaries, feature films and games. Our members control what they want to watch, when they want it, in one simple subscription. We're streaming in more than 30 languages and 190 countries, because great stories can come from anywhere and be loved everywhere. We are the world's biggest fans of entertainment, and we're always looking to help you find your next favorite story.
