CAD Estimator

Advanced Resourcing are a forward-thinking Agency that specialise within the Manufacturing & Engineering recruitment sector and work with clients all over the West Midlands and Shropshire area.

Due to continued growth,

our client is currently recruiting for a CAD Estimator to join their growing workforce.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the Laser Industry and have previous estimating experience.

Job duties:

• Reading engineering drawings and creating profile drawings using AutoCAD 2D
• Preparing cost plans from drawings, specifications and client

requirements

• Obtaining and analysing supplier quotations
• Producing take-offs and detailed pricing schedules
• Working closely with design, commercial and operational teams
• Supporting value engineering exercises and alternative design solutions
• Maintaining accurate records of estimates, quotations and communication
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

You will need:

• The ability to read engineering drawings and be able to produce profile drawings using an AutoCAD 2d type software package
• Previous experience from an Engineering background and/or working with Lantek software would be an advantage, although not essential. Preferably able to recognise material types e.g. S275, S355, CR4, 304, 316 etc
• Must be able to work to instruction and be flexible with roles in an extremely fast-moving environment.

Working hours:

Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4.30pm with 1 hour each day for lunch, (8 hours per day 39.5 hours total per week).

Salary:

£30,000 annum
