Structural Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Structural Engineer (Remote/Hybrid not available)

Salary: Up to £50,000

Are you a Structural Engineer looking for greater project responsibility and a clear route towards senior management?

We are recruiting for an established, employee-owned Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy in Leeds. With a growing workload across public and commercial sectors, the business is seeking a Project Structural Engineer to support project delivery and help develop its wider engineering team.

This opportunity would suit an engineer with at least five years’ postgraduate experience who is working towards Chartered or Incorporated status and wants to build a long-term career within a progressive consultancy.

The role

• Deliver structural engineering projects from design through to completion.
• Undertake computer analysis and structural design across a range of materials.
• Manage project activities and coordinate with colleagues across multiple disciplines.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other construction professionals.
• Coordinate the work of project engineers, graduates and technicians.
• Resolve technical challenges and communicate practical design solutions.

What we’re looking for

• A minimum of five years’ relevant postgraduate structural engineering experience.
• Progress towards Chartered or Incorporated status.
• Strong structural analysis and design skills across different materials.
• Experience managing project delivery within a consultancy environment.
• Familiarity with relevant design software, such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel, P Frame and MasterSeries Retaining Wall.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
• A valid driving licence.
