We're working with a successful and growing business looking for an ambitious HR & Payroll Assistant to join their busy HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves variety, enjoys supporting people, and wants hands‑on exposure across HR, payroll, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and training.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting weekly payroll and resolving payroll queries
• Managing HR administration and employee records
• Coordinating recruitment, interviews and onboarding
• Supporting employee relations and absence management processes
• Organising training and maintaining learning records
• Providing first-line HR support to managers and employees
• Getting involved in HR projects and employee engagement initiatives

What we're looking for

• Previous HR Administration, HR Assistant or HR & Payroll experience
• Payroll exposure, ideally using Sage 50 Payroll or a similar system
• CIPD Level 3 qualified or studying towards it
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
