Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next challenge within a successful manufacturing business?We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Middlesbrough for a Finance Manager to provide maternity cover.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced organisation where

you will play a pivotal role in supporting senior management with accurate and timely financial information.The business is seeking an individual who can make an immediate impact, although candidates with a short notice period will also be considered.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the finance function and act as a key business partner across the organisation, providing meaningful financial insight to support commercial decision-making.Key responsibilities will include

Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts

Financial reporting and analysis for senior management

Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management

Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes

Monitoring financial performance and identifying areas for improvement

Supporting business planning and strategic decision-making

Maintaining strong financial controls and compliance with company procedures

Liaising with external auditors and other stakeholders where required

Management and mentoring of finance team members

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who are:

Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)

Experienced within a manufacturing, engineering or similar operational environment

Confident producing management accounts and delivering financial reports

Commercially minded with strong analytical skills

Able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders across the business

Hands-on, proactive and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
