About the Role

The Enterprise Programme Manager brings governance, structure, prioritisation, and visibility to business initiatives across the organisation while directly managing priority projects, including the AI First Initiative. You will work across business and technical teams to turn priorities into clear plans, remove obstacles, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a unified framework to track, manage, and report on business initiatives, creating a clear single source of truth and an approach that can be progressively automated, leveraging AI wherever practical.
  • Assess initiatives against strategic priorities, business value, urgency, effort, and available capacity, helping leadership decide where to focus and what not to do.
  • Define clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success measures, and drive rapid implementation of an effective governance approach.
  • Own selected priority projects from initial scoping through delivery, coordinating business and technical stakeholders and ensuring tangible outcomes.
  • Drive the AI First Initiative: Manage and accelerate our internal AI transformation activity, working with engineers and business stakeholders to assess and prioritise high-value use cases and maintain momentum through the AI Champions group.
  • Apply a pragmatic, delivery-focused approach: remove roadblocks, make sensible trade-offs, and step into the detail when needed to keep work moving.
  • Develop and automate an integrated, data-driven view of progress, priorities, risks, decisions, and outcomes, giving the Senior Leadership Team the information needed to make faster, better decisions.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for initiative status, distilling complex issues into concise recommendations and ensuring decisions translate into clear actions, owners, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in strategic planning and execution, programme management, business operations, project delivery, transformation, consulting, or a comparable role within a complex organisation.
  • Experience managing projects in a technical environment, with a solid understanding of AI, data delivery, and automation.
  • A proven ability to create structure where none exists, solve complex or ambiguous problems, and personally drive work through to measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, and commercial judgement, with experience using metrics to shape plans and knowing when to analyse further, elevate, or simply get something done.
  • The candidate should be comfortable working with engineers, contributing to rapid prototyping discussions, and translating technical concepts into practical business outcomes.
  • First-class stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, distil complexity, and influence senior leaders without relying on formal authority.
  • An intellectually curious, pragmatic, and low-ego approach, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge the status quo constructively, and operate at pace through ambiguity.
