Finance Manager

We’re working with a high-growth manufacturing business to appoint a Finance Manager into a newly created role.

Part of a wider group, the business is looking for someone to take hands-on ownership of finance, bring the function fully in-house and strengthen reporting and controls.

Over time, there’s scope to take on greater commercial responsibility and help shape business decisions, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop alongside a growing business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Owning month-end close, reconciliations and monthly management reporting
• Managing payroll, day-to-day banking and preparing payment runs for approval
• Taking responsibility for invoicing, credit control, purchase ledger and supplier accounts
• Tracking job profitability, labour and material costs, highlighting budget overruns
• Producing operational reporting and supporting the monthly group reporting pack
• Improving finance processes across the accounting and job management systems

About you:

• Experience taking ownership of finance within a small business and working closely with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
• Hands‑on experience across transactional finance, payroll and month-end
• Strong understanding of job costing
• Experience using a job management or field-service system alongside an accounting package (Xero) would be advantageous
