Location: North Yorkshire

Salary: 60,000 – 75,000 + £5k Car Allowance

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key responsibilities

• Audit building control casework, inspections, plans and technical decisions.
• Ensure compliance with current Building Regulations, legislation and internal procedures.
• Identify risks, inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
• Produce reports and recommendations
• Provide constructive technical feedback to surveyors.
• Support QA, continuous improvement and professional standards.

About you

• Class 2f preferred – but you should apply if you have commercial/residential experience
• Experienced in building control and technical assessment.
• Experienced in technical review, auditing or quality assurance.
• Current Building Regulations and associated guidance savvy
• Detail-focused with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Confident in challenging decisions professionally and constructively.
• A strong communicator with excellent organisational skills.
• Committed to maintaining high professional and technical standards.
