Paraplanner Team Leader

This Paraplanner Team Leader job in Hampshire offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner who wants to combine technical expertise with day‑to‑day team leadership in a professional and supportive environment.

In this Paraplanner Team Leader job, you will work closely with the Paraplanner Manager to oversee the smooth running of the paraplanning function while remaining hands on with complex client work. The role is split broadly 60% leadership and 40% paraplanning, allowing you to lead by example.

As Paraplanner Team Leader, you will manage workloads and pipelines, support and mentor Trainee and Junior Paraplanners, and maintain strong quality and suitability standards across the team. Alongside this, you will continue to carry out paraplanning duties, including reviewing fact finds, challenging advisers where appropriate, undertaking detailed research and producing draft suitability reports. The Paraplanner Team Leader job involves working on holistic financial planning cases, with a strong focus on pensions and complex advice.

Requirements

• Essential: Diploma in Financial Planning Level 4 or equivalent
• Essential: Strong paraplanning experience within an IFA or wealth management environment
• Essential: Experience with pensions, including defined benefit schemes
• Essential: Proven experience mentoring, developing or overseeing paraplanners
• Desirable: Working towards Chartered status or holding additional technical qualifications
