Assistant Payroll Manager

our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Payroll Manager to join their established payroll team.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the management of a busy payroll bureau servicing a diverse client portfolio

Processing and overseeing multiple payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis

Reviewing payroll work to ensure accuracy and compliance

Assisting with the management and development of junior team members

Handling complex payroll queries and client relationships

Ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice

Supporting the Payroll Manager with operational and team responsibilities

Requirements

Previous end-to-end payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or bureau environment

Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation

Experience reviewing payrolls and supporting team members

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
