Assistant Accountant –  Andover | £35k Hybrid

Based in Andover, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement (3 days in the office), you'll become a key member of a collaborative finance team, gaining broad exposure across financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and international operations.

What You'll Be Doing

As Assistant Accountant, you'll play a vital role in supporting the month-end process and ensuring the accuracy of financial information across multiple entities. Key responsibilities include

Preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments

Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting activities

Performing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances

Supporting tax compliance and statutory reporting

requirements

Maintaining accurate financial records across multiple business entities

Collaborating with finance teams across the EMEA region to ensure consistency, accuracy, and best practice

Contributing to process improvements and supporting the continued growth of the finance function

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a motivated and proactive finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a dynamic environment.

You'll ideally have:

Strong transactional finance experience within an accounting or finance role

A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

A genuine desire to learn, develop, and progress within finance

The confidence to work with colleagues across different countries and cultures

Ideally AAT qualified or half way through your AAT
