Role Description & Overview
My client is looking for an organised and conscientious Accounts Senior to join their fabulous team in Tarporley, Cheshire.
The Role
Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Maintaining accurate working papers and client records.
Processing bookkeeping and completing bank, VAT and control account reconciliations.
Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
Supporting clients with accounting queries and digital record keeping.
Mentoring junior team members and helping manage workflow and deadlines.
About You
AAT qualified as a minimum, ideally ACA/ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
Experience preparing accounts for small and medium-sized businesses.
Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounts preparation.
Confident using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar.
Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, VAT and basic corporation tax compliance would be beneficial.
