Accountant

In this role, you’ll own and optimize core accounting operations at an AI-native cloud company. You’ll drive Procure-to-Pay, expense processes, and month-end close, using automation and AI to scale accuracy and speed. You’ll partner with Finance leadership to ensure reliable financial reporting across multiple entities and expand capabilities into AR and revenue accounting. You’ll work remotely within a cross-functional, fast-growing team that values experimentation and continuous improvement. • Own Procure-to-Pay and expense operations end-to-end, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and biweekly payments with strong controls
• Improve AI-assisted coding, automation rules, and exception handling to reduce manual work and maintain accuracy
• Support colleagues with expenses, reimbursements, and corporate card questions
• Own OPEX, card spend, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Partner with FP&A for accurate GL and cost-center coding and timely month-end close
• Maintain clear accounting records, support audit requests, and document processes for continuity and controls
• Leverage n8n, AI tools, and modern accounting platforms to identify automation opportunities and improve workflows
• Validate AI-generated outputs with controlled human review and maintain evidence for stakeholders, regulators, and auditors
• Scale accounting processes across a growing multi-entity business and gradually broaden into AR and revenue accounting

• Hands-on accounting experience with GL and AP/P2P, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and reconciliations
• Working knowledge of accounting standards and VAT (HGB or IFRS) and invoice requirements
• AI and automation mindset with willingness to validate automated outputs
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting systems, strong data quality and financial controls
• Ownership and reliability in daily operations with proactive improvement mentality
