We are supporting an established Asset Manager looking to make a new tax hire. The role is responsible for providing in‑house tax expertise across the firm’s investment products, funds, and asset management activities.

The role involves close collaboration with investment, product, legal, finance, operations, and external advisers, acting as the primary internal tax contact for fund and product-related matters.

The role:

• Provide tax advice on the structuring, launch, and operation of investment funds and products (e.g. UK authorised funds, offshore funds, private funds, pooled vehicles).
• Assess and manage investor-level tax considerations, including reporting obligations and communications.
• Advise on fund classification, tax elections, and regulatory-driven tax implications.
• Support ongoing product governance, ensuring tax risks are identified, mitigated, and documented.
• Ensure compliance with UK and relevant international tax regimes impacting asset managers and funds.

What we are looking for:

• Qualified tax professional (CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in asset management, funds, or investment tax , gained in-house or in professional practice.
• Solid understanding of:
• UK funds and product tax
• Investment and transactional tax issues
• Investor tax considerations and reporting
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non‑tax stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness.
