Facilities Maintenance Manager

h3The opportunity /h3pWe're partnering with a leading global logistics organisation to find a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager for one of its high-volume European hub sites. You'll lead the maintenance team for the site's buildings, infrastructure and automated sortation equipment, keeping a fast-moving operation running safely and reliably. You'll report to senior engineering management. /ppThis role suits an experienced engineering leader who is equally at home on the shop floor and in the planning meeting. /ph3What you'll be doing /h3ullibLeading the team: /b recruit, develop, coach and manage a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians and contractors, including performance management. /lilibMaintenance strategy: /b deliver preventative, corrective and predictive maintenance across facilities, conveyors, sortation systems and site services. /lilibFacilities management: /b maintain and develop the site's buildings and infrastructure so they keep pace with operational growth. /lilibHealth and safety: /b put safety standards into practice, deliver training, keep accurate records and support audits. /lilibPlanning and resourcing: /b plan and schedule resources and rosters, set team goals and assess short- and medium-term staffing needs. /lilibProjects: /b oversee engineering projects and technical improvements so they're delivered on time and on budget. /lilibBudget and vendors: /b manage the department budget, find and manage suppliers and contractors, and keep costs under control. /lilibContinuous improvement: /b improve processes and procedures, investigate issues and put corrective actions in place. /lilibReporting: /b produce clear, timely reports and presentations for senior management. /lilibStakeholders: /b work closely with operations leaders, senior management and directors across the business. /li /ulh3What you'll bring /h3ulli3 to 5 years practical engineering experience at managerial level /liliMulti-skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines /liliHands-on experience with automated equipment such as material handling machinery, sortation and conveyor systems /liliStrong leadership, planning and organisational skills /liliSound judgement and decision-making in a fast-paced operational environment /liliExperience in project and vendor management /liliA strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement /li /ulh3Why apply? /h3pThis is a chance to take ownership of a critical site within a world-class logistics network.
