Contextual Overview

ETC Search is recruiting a tax lawyer with at least 2+ PQE to join a busy in-house legal team in London for a client in the insurance sector. The role involves advising on and structuring innovative insurance products to mitigate tax risk, with significant commercial involvement in deal-making and client management.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 2+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) as a tax lawyer.
• Background in a City law firm tax team is preferred.
• Candidates outside the specified profile may also be considered.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work

• Advise on and structure innovative insurance products to mitigate tax risk.
• Participate in commercial deal-making decisions and technical tax positioning.
• Engage in client development and management from day one.
• Work within a high-calibre in-house team comprising lawyers from Magic Circle and top US firms.
