Management Accountant

Management Accountant  – About The Role

In this role,

you will be working within a finance team of 3 and will reporting into the Financial Controller.

You will be supporting with the daily running of the finance function, being a key player at month end. Your

key responsibilities will be

Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accounts are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet and supporting schedules.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances.

Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, journals and other month-end adjustments.

Analyse financial performance, identifying key variances against budget and forecast.

Produce regular management reports and financial analysis for senior stakeholders.

Manage and review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, ensuring the underlying ledgers remain accurate.

Perform regular bank and control account reconciliations.

Support the wider finance team with process improvements and ad-hoc financial analysis.

The successful Management Accountant will have:

Previous experience in a similar finance position

Currently or looking to study AAT/ACCA/CIMA

Strong Excel skills

Experience in using Xero would be advantageous

Ability to communicate at all levels
