Insurance Technician – Entry Level

Must have’s

• Basic understanding of insurance and reinsurance principles, terminology and common policy terms
• Ability to follow documented processes and procedures accurately
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication, customer service and teamwork skills
• Ability to identify key information and solve routine problems with guidance
• Confidence using relevant business systems and everyday technology, including Microsoft Excel and Power BI reports

So, what will you be doing?

• Complete standard processing tasks in line with documented procedures
• Gather information and complete standard document templates for internal and external distribution
• Enter, amend, update and validate data accurately on relevant systems
• Create and maintain accurate electronic and paper files and management information
• Support documentation checking, claims and premium processing where applicable
• Check information is complete and accurate before progressing work
• Manage and prioritise allocated work, seeking support when required
• Identify potential errors and omissions risks and escalate them promptly
• Respond professionally and promptly to colleagues and customers
